Our furniture makers work with loggers and lumber mills to make sure the wood used and the furniture made is not just beautiful, but environmentally responsible - ensuring that the next generations will appreciate not only our heirlooms, but the forest they came from!
Properly managed forest and selective harvesting of locally sourced trees in Michigan enables our producer to obtain the best yield from quality logs using their own sawmill. This allows them to specifically to control the milling, kiln drying and surfacing of the majority of the lumber used in their furniture manufacturing process. Waste is minimal as excess wood chips and sawdust is used to fuel and heat their facilities.
