Everyone is talking about organic products these days, but what does it really mean? How can you be sure you are getting truly organic items when you purchase?
Here are some facts
What is Natural Latex? This product is harvested from the sap of rubber trees, grown in Africa, South East Asia, South America and other tropical climates. The milk is harvested each day with cuts made in the trees, much like how maple syrup is gathered. Natural Latex is very soft and elastic, making it perfect for your next mattress!
How is Latex manufactured? The sap or milk is whipped into a foam and mixed with synthetic latex, then goes through a process called vulcanization, which is heating in the presence of sulphur. There are 2 different types of vulcanization, Talalay or Dunlop, with the Talalay being the most advanced.
What makes a Latex mattress so 'good'? Latex mattresses provide excellent orthopedic support. They last for years without sagging or taking on imprints of your body. Extraordinarily comfortable, they offer a natural means of therapeutic comfort. Latex foam does not 'super heat' like polyurethane or memory foam and keeps your body cool in warm weather, and warm in colder weather.
Do latex mattresses help with allergies? Latex foam mattresses are naturally hypoallergenic. Test prove they are also 3 times more resistant to dust mites than other non latex mattresses. Bacteria and mold / mildew can not easily live in a latex foam, causing you to have a much healthier nights sleep!
