Visco elsastic is the actual name of the man made foam used in 'temperpedic' products. This mattress has 3" of Visco 5.0 pound foam topping with a firm layer of 4" of high density foam for support. Super plush and long lasting. Great for sitting of sleeping in high traffic areas.
