It is important to properly care for your mattress so it can last you for years to come! Please review below information to help protect your mattress.
Always ensure proper center support for queen / king bed sets. Proper support helps avoid structural damage and prevents your bed from sagging in the middle. Bed with slats should have at least 5 hardwood slats with at least three sturdy legs touching the floor for center support. When placing your mattress on top of platform or wood slats, use a mattress pad over the slats. This will reduce the wear on the mattress cover. Regularly check all hardware.
Allow your mattress to 'air out' for a few hours. Residual odors from manufacturing will dissipate in time.
Single-Sided Innerspring
Rotate your mattress periodically. This will equalize wear and extend the life of the mattress. As this mattress is NOT meant to be 'flipped', rotation will allow you to have a more evenly worn mattress.
Tempur-Pedic Foam
Foam is sensitive to temperature and humidity, and becomes firmer in lower temperatures and humidity. Allow your mattress enough time to adjust to the room temperature
Do not use mattress pads or covers of any kind - never wash the foam material!
Take time to adjust to your new mattress, as it may take more than a month to acclimate
Four Seasons Rest Latex
Expect body impressions to form in the surface padding. They are normal and indicate that the layers are molding to your body.
Use a high quality, washable mattress pad to keep your mattress clean and free of odors. Should liquid soak through your mattress protection, remove sheets and pads immediately, wick away spots with a solution that is 1:3 parts white distilled vinegar and water. Spray solution on the spot, blot it with a cotton fiber and then expose it to direct sunlight until the spot fades and the mattress dries.
The underneath side of your mattress may be used if you desire a slightly firmer feel. Simply flip the mattress over! |
